Renowned British actor Micheal Ward, known for his standout roles in Top Boy, Blue Story, and more recently in Ari Aster’s film Eddington, has been formally charged by London’s Metropolitan Police with multiple sexual offenses. According to court documents, the 27-year-old Ward faces two counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault, all related to a single incident allegedly occurring in January 2023 and involving one woman.
British authorities confirmed that the Crown Prosecution Service authorized the charges after a thorough case review. Detective Superintendent Scott Ware stated that the victim is receiving specialized support and emphasized their awareness of the emotional impact such allegations can cause. Micheal Ward has denied all accusations, stating that he has “fully cooperated with the police throughout the investigation” and expressed confidence that the judicial process will prove his innocence.
His court appearance is scheduled for August 28, 2025, at the Thames Magistrates' Court in East London. Since rising to fame, Ward has received acclaim from both critics and audiences. Following the announcement of the charges, his UK talent agency, Olivia Bell Management, confirmed that they no longer represent him. Meanwhile, his U.S.-based agency, CAA, has not issued a statement.
