Mercedes-Benz has unveiled its most ambitious concept yet: a fully autonomous luxury vehicle designed to redefine the future of personal mobility. Called the Vision EQX, this sleek electric car eliminates traditional controls entirely, operating without a steering wheel or pedals, and relies on advanced AI to navigate roads safely and efficiently. The interior is designed as a “mobile living lounge,” with rotating seats, ambient lighting, and a panoramic smart-glass roof that adjusts its opacity automatically.
Passengers can relax, work, or entertain themselves as the vehicle handles all aspects of driving, using a combination of LiDAR, radar, and AI-powered predictive systems that allow it to anticipate road conditions, traffic patterns, and potential hazards in real time. The Vision EQX boasts a solid-state battery capable of delivering over 1,000 kilometers on a single charge, wireless charging pads embedded in the road for continuous power, and full 6G connectivity to synchronize with urban infrastructure.
According to Mercedes engineers, the car’s AI continuously learns from every trip, making it safer and more efficient over time. Industry analysts view the EQX as a bold statement about the future of luxury mobility, pushing the boundaries of what an automobile can be and positioning Mercedes-Benz at the forefront of innovation. While still a concept, the company plans to integrate many of its technologies into production models from 2028 onward, paving the way for a new era of driverless transportation.
